Will my AT&T Pocket PC work in St. Maarten?
I will be going next month. It's an HTC 8525 running Windows Mobile 6. Does anybody know if my phone w/ AT&T will work in Sint Maarten?

Probably not that good, Ive been there the service is horrible.

Haven't personally done it but AT&T claims they have roaming there. It is expensive. I believe that you have to activate international roaming before you go. Many folks opt to rent cell phones while on-island. This works if your main objective is voice. Rate is a lot cheaper. If you need to surf the web, another alternative might be one of the internet cafes. There's one in Phillipsburg that is perhaps $3/hr.

basically i have booked my flight to st tropez to go and work out there for six months. however I cant find any accommodation anywhere so i am wondering whether anyone has any ideas?

I would try the local newspapers. I only know Nice Matin, but maybe there are more. In the Matin there is a large section with ads.

I work in St Tropez for 5 years now and there are 3 solutions: -you live outside of town and use a motorcycle or scooter to avoid trafic jams. -you live inside St Tropez; which means no trafic problems but huge expenses on the rent! -You can live in Ste Maxime (across the bay) and use the boat shuttles to St Tropez.

Is it exciting to work in St. Helena island???
Actually I got an employment offer from BAGTCO (British American Global Trading Company Limited. The offer is financially rewarding (8000 Pounds). I'm a middle-east settler and I'll have to get a work permit and leave everything (family, friends) to go there. Is it worth it?? I did some search and found out the St. Helena island is very isolated and very remote area!! can you enlighten me more. I do need as much info as possible please. I'll be very much grateful to you.

Where can I find night shift work in St. Paul (or Metro area), MN.?
I'm finishing a summer course in a week and will need to make $2600 in the next 6-10 weeks to pay off the course. I've searched Craigslist, Monster, Jobdig, and other sites for night shift employment in the metro area in Minnesota but have yet to find a job that doesn't require much experience (because college takes up so much of your time). At this point I'm thinking about applying through a temp agency but that could take more time too. Who in MN knows of a good place that's always hiring 3rd shift employees (and has a base pay of $11+)? Any help would be great!

yes, it's possible. the transit system there is decent. Hartline is the main provider but there are a couple smaller systems serving the general area as well. it will ultimately come down to which section of St. Petersburg you reside in and where you work in Tampa as to how well the service works for you. Generally there is a fair amount of service running into Tampa in the morning and out in the evening. Good Luck! will st.ives apricot scrub or cleanser for acne/blemish control work better than proactiv?
i used to use proactiv for about an year but i feel like it worked in the beginning but not anymore as it only DRIES out my skin. i dont get a lot of pimples but a few here and there. STILL; i wanna try something new: ST.IVES. but im not sure im supposed to use the scrub daily. or should i get the cleanser to use DAILY? WILL ST.IVES EVEN WORK BETTER THAN PROACTIV?

i don't think so...the prices are soo different. but i think only a little bit difference..proactive maybe a bit better..i have used st. ives aprocot cleanser and all my pimples are clearing away. but i think that proactive would be even better.

Before I went to Europe I bought a set of different extensions that you plug your stuff into, and then plug those in. Thier outlets are shapped different then ours.

Your "bathroom appliances" will work, no need for adapters...I've been there several times on the Dutch side and I never bought an adapter. If my wife's items weren't working I'm sure I would have been walking to a store ASAP..

I am a firm believer of planning ahead and I so much compassion and respect for those children there and I want to be a nurse someday and I thought about the ST. Jude's hospital so if you know please let me know and if they have counselors that come I would love to do that, I have counseling in my blood. i'm 15 and homeschooled so my supposed counseler is my mom. will jobs let me work there if I just have my mom like sign some where on the application or when I get a work permit does that mean that I don't need a schools permission to work.

About it convenient to live there and work in St. John's

Is Bell Island a nice place? Is it convenient to live there and work in St. John's?
Just by looking at the map Bell Island seems to be a pretty nice sized island so I am hoping (fingers crossed!) that property is not nearly as expensive there as in S. John's....Anyway, just looking for your thoughts, thanks I read that to ferry your car across only costs 2.50 if you are a commuter...

It is a nice place and the property values are lower. However, with the extreme winter weather, the ferry gets shut down quite often. That means, if it happens in the morning, you won't get to work. If it happens in the evening, you will have to spend the night at a hotel in St. John's.

My cousin lives in paradise looking at bell island. land and housing is cheap, roads are ALWAYS cleared (part of the town by-laws) and there is not as much risk of getting stuck without ferry service. But to answer your question, yes, it is entirely reasonable to do that.

It's very nice. I visit a few times every summer. the ferry ride is only 15-20 minutes and people who live there have first priority on the ferry coming off Bell Island but it's first come, first serve going back. You'll find that houses are A LOT cheaper then living in st.John's. Most people who work have to commute to St.John's so a lot of people there do it and It is very rare for a ferry not to be able to cross and in most situations if the ferry is not running the place you are working is probably going to be closed anyway.

Anything not in Sales. I do know that you could get a job in retail ie Target, Dierbergs, Hollister, Wet Seal, etc. But you can not do anything commission based until you turn 18 by law. There are a ton of stores looking for flexible Part time help! I worked at Hollister when I was 16, worked all the way through HS and Freshman year in College - there really work with you on your schedule! And you can always get extra hours if you need them! Hope this helps! just get out there and start applying! Around Sept stores are going to start looking for Christmas help, so it should be to hard! Good Luck! :)
