What are some Irish recipes you think would be good to take to work on St. Patrick's Day?
I need to bring a dish in to work on St. Patrick's Day, but I do not want to make a cake with a green frosting. I would like to make something that is more Irish.

There are some recipe ideas here: http://www.celebrationideasonline.com/st-patricks-day-party.html the cake ball desserts look so delicous and seem easy to make and you could use green and white chocolate for the frosting and add some sprinkles.. so festive
6 :
Irish soda bread: 1 tablespoon baking soda 1 tablespoon sugar 4 cups flour 2 1/3 teaspoons salt 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar 2 cups buttermilk 1 tablespoon butter raisins (optional) Thoroughly combine baking soda, sugar, flour, salt and cream of tartar. Make a well in the center. Add buttermilk and mix lightly and quickly with a fork. Turn out onto a lightly floured board and knead for one minute. Shape into a circle, about 1 1/2 inch thick. Place on a greased cooke sheet. Slask a large cross in the top. Bake in a preheated 375°F oven for 40-45 minutes. Cool on a wire rack. Brush top with butter while still warm. Cool before slicing to serve.

St. Patrick's Day Cupcakes and Irish Cream Frosting for Adults. For work you may want to heat the Bailey's Irish Cream to boiling to cook out the alcohol. Allow to cool before adding to the frosting.

I was going to suggest Soda Bread, but Leigh beat me to it. Soda Bread is a great idea! A nice slice of soda bread, slathered in butter, with a nice cup of tea is great for elevenses.

About how do you 'Sc in next st, work 2 sc in next st' in crocheting

How do you 'Sc in next st, work 2 sc in next st' in crocheting?
Is it decreasing? What is it? And how do you do it?

1 :
SC in next st means do a single crochet in next stitch. It is not increasing or decreasing. Work 2 SC in next st means to use the same next stitch (loop) to make 2 single crochets. This is increasing by one.
2 :
Exactly how you said. You would do 1 sc in the next stitch, then work 2 sc in the next stitch. You are increasing.
